Police Equipment Needs Become Focus of National Donut Day
LaMar’s partners with Denver Police Foundation on June 6 for fund & awareness raising
DENVER (June 3, 2008) – In a salute to public safety professionals, LaMar’s Donuts is partnering with the Denver Police Foundation on National Donut Day in hopes of raising both funds and public awareness of equipment needs of local police.
On Friday, June 6, 2008, each LaMar’s in the Denver metro area is offering a free donut to every man and woman in a police or firefighter uniform. In addition, during the month of June, donation boxes for the Denver Police Foundation will be available in all LaMar’s locations in Colorado. Donations can also be made online at: www.denverpolicefoundation.org. The Denver Police Foundation is a Colorado nonprofit corporation created to enhance public safety and law enforcement in the Denver community.
All proceeds collected in the LaMar’s stores will be raised for equipment such as automated external defibrillators, gun shot trauma kits and domestic violence cameras. “Police officers are entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of keeping our communities safe and secure.
By participating in this effort, you are helping provide essential resources for those who risk their lives on our behalf,” said Jane Norton, executive director of the Denver Police Foundation. “LaMar's is proud to partner with the Denver Police Foundation and lend a hand to the men and women that serve in the Denver community,” said Anthony Bonelli, CEO of LaMar’s Donuts. In tribute to the men and women in blue, LaMar’s featured donut in June is the Blueberry Cake Donut. Blueberry trivia…
